At the City of Mount Pearl, we believe in the power of local business and building stronger communities! This contest is all about celebrating the local spots that make our city great. Here's your chance to win a $250 Visa Gift Card and a coffee break for your favourite local business. It's a win-win!
HOW TO ENTER:
It's easy! Register for Hey Mount Pearl (if you haven't already!) and leave a comment below telling us about a local business you love, how you're supporting them in your community, and why you're happy to support that business. Whether it's their great service, their products, or how they give back to the community, we want to hear it all!
CONTEST RULES:
- Entrants must live in Mount Pearl AND be signed up for the Hey Mount Pearl platform.
- Local businesses must be located in Mount Pearl.
- The winner will be randomly selected from the eligible entries.

I shop in Mount Pearl whenever what I need is available.. I particularly love Coleman’s . The staff are so helpful, and just all around nice people.
Compound Wellness is great pharmacy right now here in our community, they are efficient in dispensing medication asap so you are not kept waiting any longer than you need to.They have great staff that are very knowledgeable and helpful with whatever you needs are
Gotta love Coleman's! Always a community feeling when you go in there and they are great with letting community groups go in there to sell tickets, cookies, etc. Great selection of baked goods as well as everything else!!
Mount Pearl Auto King has always provided our family with the best service.. friendly, reasonably priced and dependable.. they are awesome!
Midguard Gaming on Commonwealth Ave! They have a great selection of games, cards, dice, gaming supplies, etc. They are super knowledgeable, friendly, and are super supportive towards their customers (young and old). We love shopping and supporting Midguard! They are a small business but always have a great selection, or are eager to help find what you are looking for. They have been very helpful with supporting their “younger” customers (like my nephew and his friends) get up to speed with learning all about D&D.
There are so many great businesses in Mount Pearl it is hard to choose just one! Rocket Bakery is a great place to meet friends for lunch or coffee and a bun as we say 😊. The staff are always friendly and the cinnamon buns are my favorite!
Acropolis Pizza is the best pizza in Mount Pearl. Great Greek food as well such as gyro and Souvlaki. Always a great place for lunch or supper
Bellie Beth is one of my favourite stores in Mount Pearl. Whether you are looking for swim wear, casual loungewear or lingerie, the staff will go above and beyond to help find the perfect fit - in a wide range of sizes. I am always impressed with their professionalism and expertise. If you want to feel like a million dollars, check them out!
Joey Nails is the best—always great service and everyone is so nice!

RJ Pinoy Yum is one of my favourite restaurants in town. When they opened their Mount Pearl location, it made getting my favourite food so much more convenient. The staff are so kind, the prices are very reasonable, and most importantly, the food is delicious.
The Bigs , it’s my happy place, I’m totally relaxed there , the staff are friends now , the food is always great , highly recommend eating there
Domino's Pizza is a business that I usually go to at least once a month!! Great friendly staff and I love their pizzas.
Modern Printing Group. Great team and great service. They can print anything! Signs, apparel, business cards, calendars....anything you can imagine.
I enjoy getting a few dishes from Noodles Express. Family owned and operated, great portions and I always have leftovers for a few days.
There are lots of great businesses in Mt. Pearl. For this contest I'll send a shoutout to one near me, A&W Mt. Pearl. I've enjoyed the food and pleasant atmosphere for many years. I appreciate the food and the friendly employees. Since they are a Mt. Pearl - and a Canadian-owned business 🇨🇦 - it's even better.
The Rocket Bakery is a awesome place the Cinnimon Buns are the best it's a great meeting place. Way to Go Rocket.
I can’t say enough good things about Mamacita Mexican Kitchen! We visit there several times a month to pick up delicious Mexican dips and chorizo for nacho night. It’s one of the only places around to get delicious authentic Mexican food. Oh and don’t get me started about their homemade wraps, AMAZING!
Also, if you haven’t tried their queso dip, you are missing out—it’s life changing! They knock it out of the park every time, and not just Park Avenue.
Not only is their food excellent but it’s always service with a smile. We always recommend this place to friends and family and we’re so thrilled to see they’ve expanded their business. We want them to operate out of Mount Pearl forever!
