
Project Overview
Over the next two years, there will be significant construction occurring in the Kenmount Hill area, including Wyatt Boulevard, Tavenor Place, and Holden Street
These projects include replacing key assets along Farrell Drive, such as the underground water, sanitary, and storm systems. The scope of work for all projects involves construction tie-ins that may encroach onto residential properties. Residents are advised to hold off on driveway paving, landscaping, retaining wall installations, or other similar upgrades that come within one metre of their property line until the projects are complete.
TAVENOR PLACE
Residents of Tavenor Place are advised that rock-busting operations will begin on Water Tower Access Road on Monday, March 9, 2026. During this time, residents can expect increased construction activity in the surrounding area, along with possible vibration.
Two separate construction projects will be taking place on and near Tavenor Place during the 2026 construction season:
Water Tower Construction (Water Tower Access Road and Water Tower Site)
- Work will occur from March 2026 to November 2026
- Impacts to residents are expected to be minimal, apart from increased construction activity and noise in the area.
- Rock-busting on Water Tower Access Road is part of this project.
Street Replacement and Watermain & Sewer Upgrades (Tavenor Place)
- Work is expected to begin in May 2026 and be completed by July 2026.
- A detailed notice outlining impacts and what to expect during construction will be provided closer to the start date.
Please exercise caution when traveling near construction areas and follow all posted signage.
The City appreciates the patience and cooperation of residents as this work is completed to improve municipal services and ensure long-term infrastructure reliability. Further updates will be shared as the project progresses.
WYATT BOULEVARD
Please be advised that the City will be conducting construction in the Wyatt Street and Mount Carson area will continue throughout the remainder of the 2025 construction season and will resume in spring 2026.
While school bus routes are not affected during this work, residents should expect traffic delays. Please plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and drive with caution in the area.

Project Timeline
The construction to upgrade underground infrastructure is expected to begin in September 2025 and continue throughout the remainder of the construction season. Work will resume in 2026.
Work Schedule
The contractor is permitted to work within the hours specified in the City’s Noise Bylaw (7:00 am to 11:00 pm). Daily schedules may vary depending on weather conditions.

Motorists are advised to follow directional signage and to expect delays at intersections which may be congested due to construction.
