PUBLIC BRIEFING SESSION CANCELLED

The briefing session tentatively scheduled for DA25-0220 – 11 Glendale Avenue Proposed Infill Development – Semi-Detached Dwelling – Habitat for Humanity has been cancelled.

One handwritten anonymous letter, without a return address, was submitted to the city on May 23, 2025. This letter will be included in the Background Report concerning this application and will be brought forth to the next Planning and Engineering Department Committee meeting.


The City is in receipt of an application by Habitat for Humanity to develop a Semi-Detached Dwelling at 11 Glendale Avenue. The subject property is currently vacant and Council may, at its discretion, approve a Residential Intensification Project which is designed to improve the affordability of housing or to make more effective and efficient use of land.

The proposed use is within the range of uses that Council may permit at this property location at its discretion, subject to Regulation 4.17, 4.18, and 6.33, which requires public notice.

A public briefing session will be held at City Hall on Monday, May 26, 2025 at 7pm. Before they make a decision, Council invites comments in writing no later than 12:00 noon on Friday, May 23, 2025. Comments can be forwarded to the contact below or via the Hey Mount Pearl website. Comments received will be a part of the public record. If you would like to remain anonymous, please advise the City at the time of your comment. Should no comments be received, the briefing session will be cancelled. A cancellation notice will be posted on Hey Mount Pearl and the City's website.
