What work is proposed?
This project will replace asphalt, sidewalks, and underground water, sanitary, and storm systems, along with the addition of a new water transmission line.
What time will construction work occur?
The contractor is permitted to work within the hours specified in the City's Noise Bylaw (between 7:00 am and 11:00 pm).
Daily schedules may vary depending on weather conditions.
How long will construction take?
The project is expected to start in May 2025 and finish by September 2025. A more detailed timeline will be provided as the project progresses.
How can I stay updated on the progress of the project?
Residents are encouraged to check the dedicated construction project page, the City of Mount Pearl Facebook page, sign up for email notifications on project updates, and sign up for the City of Mount Pearl's Citizen Alert platform.

Will there be utility disruptions?
There will be some utility disruptions, but they will be kept at a minimum as services to businesses and residents are to be maintained at all times by the contractor.
How will construction affect access to my property?
The contractor will coordinate with local homeowners and businesses to ensure access is maintained during construction.
Will there be road closures or detours during construction?
Due to the location of work required, there will be traffic detours. Detour plans will be shared with residents and posted once construction begins.
