The City has received an application from Aker Solutions Asset Integrity Management Canada Inc. for a proposed Hazardous Industry Use to accommodate a combined Office / Light Industry (Warehouse) Use for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) within a portion of the existing building at 27 Sagona Avenue.
Methods of inspection and testing include ultrasonic, magnetic Particle, liquid penetrant, and radiography services. The proponent holds a license from the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) to house and perform radiography.
The subject property is located within the Industrial – Light (IL) Land Use Zone. The proposed use is subject to Regulation 7.15 – General Industry and Hazardous Industry Uses and is within the range of developments that Council may permit, subject to Regulation 4.17, requiring public notice.

Prior to making their decision, Council invites comments in writing no later than 12:00 noon, Monday, March 9, 2026. Comments received form part of the public record. If you do not wish your name attributed to your submission, please advise the City.
Should no comments be received, the briefing session will be cancelled and a cancellation notice posted to the municipal website.
