TENTATIVE PUBLIC BRIEFING SESSION: 35 Clyde Avenue - Proposed Telecommunications Tower DA25-0731

The City is in receipt of an application from Shared Tower Inc. for a proposed 25m high telecommunications tower at 35 Clyde Avenue (DA25-0731). The proposal consists of the construction of a monopole tower with internal canister antennas. The proposal includes a mechanical equipment shelter and bollards near the base of the tower.
Telecommunications towers are regulated and reviewed by the Federal Government through Industry Canada and required a public consultation process. The Mount Pearl Development Regulations identify a telecommunications tower as a discretionary use within any use zone.
The subject property is located in the Industrial – Light (IL) Land Use Zone. The proposed telecommunications tower is subject to Regulation 7.29. Telecommunications Structures and Antennas and is within the range of developments that Council may permit, subject to Regulation 4.17, requiring public notice.
Prior to making their decision, Council invites comments in writing no later than 12:00 noon, Monday December 22, 2025. Comments received form part of the public record. If you do not wish your name attributed to your submission, please advise the city. The Briefing Session will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at 7:30 PM at City Hall, 3 Centennial Street, Mount Pearl.
Should no comments be received, the briefing session will be cancelled.
